Following on from my solo backpacking world exploration a few years ago, now I want to share my experiences and recommendations for European cities you can visit. On my own explorations the last year or so and more going forward.

This year was a Danube River cruise with my sister from Australia who never got much chance to see it before she moved there in her 20s. Now we both have had time to do more travelling and exploring, seeing beautiful places we didn’t know were so.

Last year I visited Prague for the first time with some friends and was surprised – for the Czech Republic once as I remember it, behind the ‘iron curtain’ as it was known then – and the beautiful architecture, rich culture and history I only ever heard in a Christmas song and wondered what it meant “Good King Wencelelas”.
